Full Steam Marketing & Design has been awarded two prestigious MarCom awards for two DVDs created in 2007. One DVD profiles the Monterey County Wine Industry for the Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association (MCVGA), the other highlights Gaits of Hope at Rancho Cielo, an organization aimed at helping physically and emotionally challenged children discover the joys of horseback riding. The award-winning DVDs were selected from over 5,000 entries worldwide. The Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm, approximately 18 percent were Gold Winners.

Full Steam was awarded a Gold MarCom in the video/film/educational category for “Elements of Taste” a DVD created for the Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association. The 50-minute video tells the story of Monterey County’s diverse wine country, detailing the county’s nine unique appellations, or American Viticultural Areas (AVA). Produced by Full Steam, “Elements of Taste” is the first-ever in-depth video commissioned by the MCVGA to showcase the area’s superior wine growing region.

The firm also earned a Gold MarCom in the pro-bono category for “Freedom Reins” a marketing video produced for the non-profit organization Gaits of Hope at Rancho Cielo, formerly Freedom Reins. Gaits of Hope provides therapeutic horseback riding instruction to individuals facing physical, mental and emotional challenges. The piece, which Full Steam produced free of charge, is used by Gaits of Hope as a fundraising tool.

MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an international organization of several thousand creative professionals from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising and PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
