Marketing Video Reveals Family Tradition, Breadth and Depth of Business

Salinas, California – May 02, 2008

The Lagorio Farms family of companies has a long-standing tradition of growing, packing and shipping the best possible vegetable products. Lagorio Farms began in 1945, when George Lagorio purchased 30 acres in the San Joaquin Valley. Today, Lagorio Farms has grown to include 10,000 acres and five separate companies, enabling a wide variety of produce and year-round supply. Yet Lagorio Farms remains a family-run business, with George’s daughter at the helm.

That’s what Lagorio Farms executives wanted their customers to know. To get that message across, Lagorio Farms turned to Full Steam Marketing & Design in Salinas to produce a marketing video to share with customers and employees.

“We are using the video for introduction to the company for new employees, for new customer presentations and for placement on our website,” said Parker Booth, president of Ace Tomato Company, Inc., one of the Lagorio companies.

The video offers a glimpse of Lagorio Farms’ rich history while providing a view of the modern business it is today. Lagorio Farms’ three guiding principles – industry leading food safety standards, year-round supply, and a wide variety of products with flexible packaging options – are clearly demonstrated. At the same time, the video introduces the viewer to the Lagorio family and how they are involved with the business today, and touches on the family’s philanthropic activities.

“What comes out of the video is the size of the company in terms of the breadth of products grown, and the strong family history of the business,” Booth said. “It has been received well each time it has been shown, and usually generates more questions and discussions about what the future holds in terms of continued growth for the companies.”
