Asilomar Conference Grounds is a world-class conference and lodging facility situated on 107 acres of magnificent pine forested coastline on the Monterey Bay. With historically important Arts and Crafts buildings that date back to 1913, Asilomar is a unique blend of nature, architecture and history. Full Steam was asked to create a new brand identity to position Asilomar to compete as an international conference center. In keeping with the architecture of the buildings, Full Steam adapted an Arts & Crafts typography and blended it with a stylized pine bough to capture the essence of the Asilomar experience. The new logo strikes a desired balance of “established yet contemporary.” With its fresh image consistently applied to all marketing materials, Asilomar now competes successfully with other high-end conference centers.
